Nice pic bb. Taken from outter space it seems to be a beautiful, awesome, powerful phenomenon. Down here, though I feel for anyone in it's path. Take care guys.
Thanks... Diceman e-mailed it to me on his return from his distant galaxy ! :D

That's why I posted about glad to be living in Pa. We had 2 days of heavy rain thanks to Frances, I can only imagine what Fla got, and "Ivan the Terrible" is on his way.

But you have the Eagles too.

Thanks swamp and abs.

They keep shifting this turn to the NW further West so it is going directly over my house (per the 5 pm 9/11 track)

Water has been cut off, power will probably be shut off at 2AM, easier to restart if everything does not arc out.

I have a strucutrally sound place that a I boarded up a little too well. I am on the water , in a shelter spot from killer waves, BUT, if there is a storm surge I could be wet on my second floor. My only unboarded exit is my front door on the ground leveland I don't scuba.

Going to move a little inland, I have two options, trying to think which one is better.

That dang thing is heading in my direction(panhandle). At this point not sure what direction I should take, if any. All depends wich side its come in at.

Were right in the middle track. Panama City....I got plywood ready(leftovers from making plenums..lol)and got a full tank of gas in my escape vehicles, and gas for the generator. I'm just not sure if that thing hits us with full force whether I'll have any reason to generate electricity.

I dont care about the house, its slated to be torn down so I can put up a new one. I was planing to put up an all steel house, but I'm wondering whether I should put up a monolitic dome instead.

Well hey neighbor it's nice to meet you. Panama city is a nice place. I go camping at St Andrews SP. They have some of the best beaches I've ever seen and its never crowed. Good luck, do you plan on staying put? how close to the coast are you?

Yea were not too far away from each other. Do you know Buster at IAD(independent air distributors), they have a supply house in Tallahassee and one here.

We weathered out Opel last time but not sure where this Ivan is going to end up at. I got 10 acres at 231 and 20 but just have a travel trailer there and a pole barn.

Not sure about anything right now. I'm close to Tyndall Air Force Base(my wife retired USAF), but high enough were storm surge not a worry. I'm a bit worried about 140 mph wind and high gusts.

If it hits us directly or to close to the west, I may end up going to Tampa, we have friends and family there.

I think know a Buster. IAD used to be called Pioneer metals? I haven't seen him in a while. I probally haven't been to a supply house in 3 yearss. He is one of the guys around here that do the residential energy and load calculations. I have been taking some of his work.
