hi, i have a customer only want to paid $ total for replace the whole ac system including outdoor condenser, indoor unit(coil, furnace, blow fan, plenum) plus other material using and labor, i have to pay $ just for the whole unit from parts house, can anyone can tell me should i accept it or not, thank you!:gah::gah::gah:

Prices arent allowed. If you're dying for work then take it. If not move on and let them find some hack to put it in. Plenty of shops run by Jose and Jos B in LA

Tell the customer you will do the job for only what it costs you in parts, with the condition that you get to kick him in the balls repeatedly when you are done.

Either that, or figure out a rate that YOU would be OK with, and go with that.

The choice is yours.

Thats our cost or even cheaper. We sub out the installs. Cost of equipment plus labor we work with alot of repeat customers that buy over and over and new construction. Given the conditions im generally impressed with the work and not alot of problems. Most the problems we have are water issues.

Granted air handlers are less than furnaces, but im use to higher prices. I can tell you i made more working for the higher priced company but, the installers were just as dumb and sloppy (not that ours are particularly dumb or sloppy) Im treated a little better and dont have a weekly meeting all about how i missed an opportunity to bend a customer over....

I don't know the cost of living in Los Angles or anything about your company, but if it is an easy install, that looks like an easy $$ to me. I'd do it in minute.

Now if you have to turn down better paying jobs to do it, that's a different matter.
