We were looking at a bulding that had American Automatrix system in it. We would be doing a retrofit but I have herd very little of them. I went to the website and it said the were owned by Jordan Acquisition Group, LLC. Is this stuff worth trying to fix?

Jordan Acquisition Group is the actual company name, as they d.b.a American Auto-Matrix. Products work quite well if they're programmed and installed correctly. Can't promise you much about the front-end though. I'd put a JACE in for the front-end if the majority of problems revolve around it.

Mark Controls Corp (MCC) became MCC Powers which became Landis and Gyr Powers then became Landis and Gyr who were finally bought by Siemens.

Alerton was bought by Novar and they were bought by Honeywell.

From what I understand FX controllers were originally made in Italy near Milan by JCI. An ex-Carel employee left Carel to start that out for JCI.

I guess now, they are made in Mexico as Nikko says.

There is three or four Big Ones, and the rest fighting for crumbs, and the dust has not settled yet...watch for more to come, also the Chinamen will come out with one – you can buy at walmart (with front end! Included)

Sad part is that the WALLY WORLD China Automation System would probably be better than most out on the market today at least you would not have far to go for parts, and the kid in Electronics / Home Entertainment Dept might know as much as some product reps I have dealt with over the years.

That's rough! If I was a product rep I would think I would be crying after reading that comment. :D
