Looks identical to another brand "comfortstar". They are made in China, and small units(<3ton) use Toshiba/Panasonic rotary compressor. They are quiet and look nice. The compressor has been used in mini split for more than 20 years and is approved for reliability, but I'm not sure how they work in central ac here.
Outdoor units are made by Midea. Ingersoll Rand refused the rotaries, all sizes will have scrolls. Coils & air handlers are made by Allstyle. Only thing IR mades is furnaces.
I like the mostly solid panels for rental units as the kids don't write there name in the fins. I've installed them for a few years and no issues to date.
There a great option for those wanting a to spend less
Put in quite a few ameristars when ppl don't wanna pay for a trane...only gripe is they don't supply 'll driers so make sure to pick one up if you install these.
I've installed a lot of Ameristar over the last 2 years. I have no concerns about the quality of their stuff. The furnaces are cheaper looking but the same design as a trane with the same parts inside. The condensers are solid, and I personally like the like design of their copper tubed evaporator coils.
