fan and condensor? did you mean compressor? but anyway i will try and help the turbo capaicitor is made for single value fan applications only. you can not run two fans off one and use as a duel cap because the terminals are in series not in parallel

 

Thanks. That's what I wanted to know if it can be used as a dual capacitor for the fan and compressor.

So if my dual capacitor is bad, I can't use this. It doesn't seem very valuable to me since I work with condensors that use a dual capacitor.

Hmmm not what the guy at johnstone told me, but good to know would you do this as a permanent fix orr just temporary?

 

can be permanant as long as you don't mind spending $$$ for a capacitor. if you look at the connections on the 200 and the 200x you will see both compressor and motor hookups, along with a common.

 

I use them if I don't have the right one on board, and give the HO the option of bringing back the right one. It's usually still a little cheaper to make the return trip, but not always.

 

Think how many more regular capacitors you could stock, if you didn't spend the money on the turbo.

 

It was a lot easier just a few years ago before we started seeing all of these duals using 7.5's for the fan. I probably carry sixty differant caps onboard as is. It's when I run out of something, and I'm on ot that I use them.

 

I carry a big box of standard caps, but also have a 200. I have used as dual several times. Only had one crap out on me so far. Its less $ than making a parts run!

 

I like the turbo used to have problems getting dual cap during heat wave they cost more but their worth it to me

 

They also have a 5 year warranty and are made in the USA.

I haven't had any cost complaints since I started pointing this out.

 

I use a regular dual capcitor if I can. If I don't have the right one then I will use the Turbo one to get the call done faster.

 

I love the turbo capacitor , it is made in USA , I keep a box of dual and single regular caps also , but there is two turbo's in there to get me out of a bind.

Ive yet to have one fail.
