does anyone part numbers for the condensing unit, cap tube and ll drier
its an old r12 unit thats been converted to 414b called traulsen/hobart and my 10yr old son can give me more info.
i would assume the new condensing unit would require 134a the old r12 name plate says 21oz what would a 134a charge be equivelent to that.
god you guys are awesome.

thanks for the help in advance

btw HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to alll

That ain't no conversion -

The 414 just drops right in. So replace the condensing unit with a like-HP R-12 unit, size the cap tube off Supco's R-12 chart, use a standard LL drier and you're off to the races.

:ditto: Don't bother to convert a unit off this age. I have been using 409A for these mainly due to the availability of refrigerants.

Hello there an Happy New Year to all of ya...

Just finished up an older one Today that some " TECH" worked on it previously and installed incorrect cooler side compressor and cap tube.

Traulsen 1(800) 825- 8220 Tech support

They will need to go into the file cabinet to get your information, but they will help you. mine was combo over 25 yrs old and now running like a rabbit.

Also as previously stated stick with 409a

Hope this helps any more questions let me know, Have a good one
