I went to a call on the other side of nowhere today.I turned on the
system everything was running.When I went to connect my gages
I got nailed.I mean when I grabbed the suction line it grabbed me back.
I fell back wards and let go.Wow!!WTH?I pulled the disconnect but I
had a feeling the copper was still alive.It was.My field piece has a NCV
alarm on and it went off checking the copper.The wire coming of the
main panel was rotted off at the grounding stake.The electric was heater
was shorted to ground.When I was at the condenser I had one hand on the
earth and the other on the suction line.I became the ground.Has this ever happened
to anyone else?I checked the kitchen faucet with the water running and there was
voltage in the stream of water.Scary.If the renter turned on the water they would of
got grabbed as well.I shut the main breaker and waited for a electrician to arrive.
