I was at a mall for a no heat call. looking at this pic the brown material is the roofing deck to the right is a wall that comes down 4 feet. It is only 7 inches from the vav to the wall. I am standing on top of a 12 ladder and could barely reach the wire block to check voltage. Not shown in the pic is the main sprinkler pipe is below this so you have to strattle it to work on it.

you should see the wiring in this place. it used to be one huge store then they subdivide it. the t-stat for this store also controled the store next to it and it had a energy mang system that was still hooked up at the vav but disconnected on the roof took me 6 hours to go through all the wires and talk to mall eng to get answers. Plus i had work around the displays, customers, and employees. a nightmare.
