I'm sure this has been discussed here before, but I am truly amazed by the percentage of the general public who think that a thermostat will "accelerate" heating and/or cooling.

next thing that going to be said is they create an artificial blackhole that sucks out the heat or cold and creates the oposite before returning it to the rooms.

Hey, our office is the same way. Between the office manager and the boss's son, if their zone starts to warm up because we cut the sizing a bit close, they start turning their stat down

You've got multiple blower speeds, controls to keep the evap from freezing, hydronic reheat, and some even have variable displacement compressors.
For example, when you turn the temperature selector colder, it blow colder air! It should work the same way at your house, right?

Dont you have to flush and re-fill your freezone every few years? You know, due to viscosity breakdown and all...Diceman said:
