Man, I wish i could get on somewhere like this. I've been looking for a company to jump on board with but everyone wants 5 years experience. I've been doing service work for a little over a year....no installs, and I can't get in anywhere. I work for basically a private company now...they own 6 restaurants in St. Louis, Rolla, and Collinsville, IL and I love it, but I want to work somewhere I can learn from a pro instead of learning as I go all the time. This sure is a hard business to break into! AHHHHHH!

Not sure when I will be back in KC. We have 3 guy's there now. So unless there is a call for me or I have nothing to do in my area, I won't be back for sometime.

I just made a trip to Tulsa, Ft. Smith, Ar, back over to McAlester, OK and then back home from Wed. to Fri.

I'll be Osage Beach, Mo. this week.

I don't know what the "technician shortage" is like over there, but I have an HVAC diploma from a trade school, two months' field experience and three months' HVAC office/dispatch experience aside from my approximately two years of unrelated data entry. I'm a beginner as a technician but my data entry, typing and writing skills are very good. (Let me know if you'd like a customized writing sample!) So if you absolutely can't make a place for me in the field right now I'd give you a solid value in the interim working in your office. You can access my resume here.

Are you still in California? And how much experience do you have?
Be aware that there will be times where you may have to make long drives, up to 3-4 hrs. to get to a call.
And an occasional overnighter. But if anyone is in need of a job, we have plenty of work.

I've sent my current resume to the other e-mail address. Thanks for your quick response. Yes, I'm still in Southern California but I want to move to an area with a lower cost of living. Long drives, overnighters and on-call status are acceptable as long as I can have sunset Friday to sunset Saturday off each week. I graduated from WyoTech in 2007 with straight A's and perfect attendance and have five months of experience with a commercial HVAC company where I worked primarily as a dispatcher due to my preexisting data entry skills.

Off every sabboth is going to be tough. It may be only one day but if there is an emergency call you would be expected to run it. You would probably be best suited for St. Louis where there would be more techs to cover you.

Wouldn't hurt to give it a shot. What's your name?
