Hi all,
I 've been recieving quotes on the installation of a heat pump to be added to my existing oil fired forced air central heating system. What I'm looking for is saving on heating cost. I have a 1200sq.ft house on a full 8' foundation which is insulated. The house is well insulated as well and has new energy effieceint windows and doors. I've been quoted a 2 and a 2.5 ton unit. Can someone tell me if this estimate is appropriate.
The average summer temp here in Easten Canada is 77deg F and we experience about 1 week a year at 90 to 95 Deg F . Winter average s approx. 25 Deg F Although we occasionally see a week at or around 0 Deg F.
