Orcaview 3.40 getting started

Hi this is my first post but I have been scanning the site for some information. I am experienced with Reliable controls and Johnson Facility explorer programming, but also have to work on several Delta systems and have been mainly using entelliweb to get in and adjust and tweak previously turned over buildings. I was given a orcaview 3.40/system launcher/flash loader disc with a dongle but no instructions/training. Can anyone give me some instructions on getting logged in and connected to and existing site using orcaview 3.40 as I would like to learn more about it and what I can do? Thanks in advance.

No expert on Delta, but do like the product and know the basics...

1. You'll need login credentials for the site also. User/password.
2. The dongle is a software lock. Must be plugged into computer for it to allow access.
3. At the login screen, make sure you select the correct communication protocol. Unless you also have the service tool to connect to panels, hopefully you can use ethernet.
4. It's fairly simple once you get in, unless need to do any real programming. You'll be presented with a navigation tree of the connected panels and subsequent 'points'... IP is inputs. OP is outputs. PG is programs, don't play with these unless know what doing. There are others, but these are a good starting point. The points will typically be labeled as to what they are. Eg. RTU1_SAT.
5. Speak to ESC Automation in Edmonton for help. Hopefully what ever site you are working on has remote access, so their service department can help over phone. They may be able to help with training too. Strongly recommend at least getting Level 1. It will explain the basics, which I have attempted to summarize here.
6. Orca 3.40 will let you view previous software versions, but is limited. If come across a really old site that has V2, back away, call for help! :)

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. Basically I was just given the disc and dongle by a predecessor who didn't try it. I will call for support if my username and password I use for entelliweb doesn't work. Basically I need to see what I can do with it and change some incorrect controller times and backup/download if needed.
I have been fixing some programs in entelliweb (a nice feature) as it is reasonably easy to follow the programs. The fixes are due to neglect after handover and no accountability for programming.

HI
I'm new to DELTA World. Can any one help me understanding the software required to download programs from below controllers to PC. Also cables required to connect with below controller. Much appreciated your help.
