No expert on Delta, but do like the product and know the basics...
1. You'll need login credentials for the site also. User/password.
2. The dongle is a software lock. Must be plugged into computer for it to allow access.
3. At the login screen, make sure you select the correct communication protocol. Unless you also have the service tool to connect to panels, hopefully you can use ethernet.
4. It's fairly simple once you get in, unless need to do any real programming. You'll be presented with a navigation tree of the connected panels and subsequent 'points'... IP is inputs. OP is outputs. PG is programs, don't play with these unless know what doing. There are others, but these are a good starting point. The points will typically be labeled as to what they are. Eg. RTU1_SAT.
5. Speak to ESC Automation in Edmonton for help. Hopefully what ever site you are working on has remote access, so their service department can help over phone. They may be able to help with training too. Strongly recommend at least getting Level 1. It will explain the basics, which I have attempted to summarize here.
6. Orca 3.40 will let you view previous software versions, but is limited. If come across a really old site that has V2, back away, call for help!
Good luck.
