My friend has convinced me to give it a try next weekend. He grabbed a 23lb blue cat last weekend. Anyone else out there ever tried this sober?

·I know the best way to ice fish
(1) Drill two holes in the ice one all the way thru and one
half way thru about three feet apart.
(2) Sprinkle a can of peas between the holes
(3) Wait for a fish to come up and take a pea.
(4) Kick it in the ice hole.

I live around Lake Dallas so the plan was to go in and around the boat ramps that are on the east side of the lake. I do tend to pull a lot of all nighters on the bank by my house with a few lines in the water, a few coleman lanterns and a cooler stocked and ready to go.

Also called Grabbing and I don't do it. Why not use a spare tire with holes cut around the outside where the tread is, laced together around the bead and put dog food in it. Cut holes to the size fish you want.
