My furnace won't start, it is an ICP NTC5100BFD. When the wall thermostat tells it to turn on, the inducer motor kicks on but it doesnt seem like it's igniting and the blower never turns on. The blower works fine independtly with the heat off. The intake filter from the cold air return was very dirty if that helps. I also checked the line to the pressure switch and it is clear. Kinda out of my element here, any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
Need some advice, inducer motor starts but funace wont ignite...

if he was paying for knowledge the guy would have stayed off the roof. lolPrices are different everywhere I guess, it's a good bit more than we would charge for less than an hour and ignitor but the fact is your paying for his knowledge not the parts, sounds like even the price for that was steep

He didn't inform me of any kind of price until after the work was completed. I was aware of an upfront charge of $ that included diagnosis and the trip out. Next time I will definitely ask. The more I think about it the more pissed I get. The business is called < We don't mention company names here, when complaining about them > in Pekin, IL
knowing you had to pay $ plus tax anyway would you have said no? not being a jerk, I am just curious. I have only had someone turn me down a few times.

yeah i woulda called and asked around tomorrow what someone else would charge. I coulda relied on my electric heaters til tomorrow. Oh well, lesson learned!
