With your long cold winters, Why didn't they use the 90% line?
Thats a great question.
One that I dont have a good answer for other than to say I need to become more firmilar and more comfortable with 90,s in general

As far as working on standard a/c say 14.0 S.E.E.R. and doing a great job, it will, as has been stated by others variable drive (furnace Carrier) will work on the Edge thermostat as for air handler it will not work on one model infinity series, but will work on the other variable drive air handler. I have only installed 1 of the Edge thermostats. They look and work like some others that have been around a couple of years used on Geo-Thermal heat pumps.

So, your choice for the Edge thermostat is great , with the upgrade to 14.0 condenser it will work fine. And just a note that was a great looking installation.

Thanks
I took the advice I was given and moved and secured the bx to the unit .
I also added one more duct to the expanded kitchen and ran a new dryer vent line today,
I have left the Edge Thermostrate there for now .

Just for reference this furnace would not pass permit inspection because(just observing from the pictures, not really sure I am correct in what I am seeing)

1) No clamp within 12" of the disconnect switch going up on BX
2) It appears to be piped in galvanized piping (only black iron pipe allowed here)
3) No swing joint at the bottom of the drop (its gotta have 3 elbows off the drop laying horizonitally)

Your salesman is not that bright. Swap the edge out for the Infinity control and wire the 14 SEER condenser onto the furnace as you would any standard air conditioner. Use the green 4 wire connector for the Infinity match the colors.

Why did the salesman even sell you the equipment if you never went to the Infinity training? And please do somthing with the duct connecting the media filter.

Other than that it looks good.

Oh, and RyanHughes shouldn't know more about the Infinity system than you, but he does.

I appreciate any and all Constructive advise.
This is the first time I am dealing with a Carrier Product and Have submitted all the paperwork to become a Dealer and be privey to all the Manufacturers literature and Spec,s
This furnace was recommended to the Customer By her Brother who works for Carriers Commercial Division
I bought and installed it because I think its a good product and would like to start using their products in the future
What brand are you dropping, or already selling?
