They just came and replaced some type of sequencer....fortunately they didnt turn the fan speed up.
Came out on a Sunday at that,...does this HVAC Tech. live on the property in a apartment and is the plumber, electricain, maintenance person also? Years ago seen where a condensing unit was changed at a apartment complex and they left the shipping pallet attached to the outdoor unit and used it as a condendsor base. It was out in the open,...Got a chuckle out of that.

Yeah pretty much...and they wont let anyone else touch the unit. Shoot i even offered to buy the condenser unit and pay for an outside guy to do the work. But they were having none of that.

Changing the sequencer definitely seems to help...the air still feels hotter than it should...and the delta t is still way too low. I think the air coming out of the vent is about 8 degrees below the air going in. That hasnt changed...and is probably why i have to turn the tstat down low to get it blow cool air.

Yes 8 degree difference is nothing to write home about. 18-20 degree is a good general number, with everything falling into place, ( new indoor to outdoor system, correct sized ductwork, fan speed, field charge etc. ) compressors get their cooling from the refrigerant coming back from the indoor coil, helps cool the windings on the motor. Your probably not charged correctly among other things, certainly can shorten the compressor life.

Tried to delete my comment about the unit on the shipping pallet in my last post, but ran out of time. Didn’t mean to reference anything bad about living in a apartment.

Don’t know what else to tell you,..being stuck with that one company..I suppose you can keep calling them..

Thanks for all the help man. Should i hear draining after the unit turns off. Are there any tablets i can get to clean out the water drain area? It looks kinda muddy at the bottom of that water around the a frame.
