JCI has Digital Controller (DX-9121) series

It is LONMARK certified .

It appears to be the next line of DX-9100 controllers

What does it mean when they say it is LONMARK certified

It appears it has no need for Network variables since

all its inputs and outputs are all locates in the same controller

Thank You

The DX-9121 controller is a Johnsonized version of Lon called N2E which only allows peer-to-peer between DX-9121s (no Neuron ID). If you want a version of DX that is actually LON that can communicate with other LON devices you need the DX-9200. The DX-9200 actually has a couple different versions that fit different LON functional profiles. Documentation is on JCI website. http://cgproducts.johnsoncontrols.com//MET_PDF/1162250.PDF

Here is the explanation of the Lonmark Certification in the JCI literature for the 9121:

"The Version 3 controller has been approved as a LONMARK device and
conforms to the LONMARK specification for network data transmission."

Which essentially means that it is N2 communications over a LON trunk, without the features of actually being LON.

Thank you for the good Link

We are trying to integrate more LonWorks controls into our sites

Most of this is done thru Johnson ,because that is where we have

the most freedom

Unfortunately Johnson does not always offer

us much help with LonWorks because they

tend to favor Bacnet and a little of FX-40

Which I think is superior to LonWorks

But, we are trying to keep everthing up to date and balanced

Our local Johson branch and their vendors (I won't mention names)

Tend to be slow and un knowing when it comes to LonWorks
