Is everyone having trouble with Klein tools quality??

I was buying some new tools for my helper, and went to HD to pick up some Klein pliers and crimpers. I bought a pair of the forged crimpers with the stripper in the handle, the real heavy duty ones not the thin kind. The pivot on them was so tight that you needed two hands to open them for each use. I'm not kidding. So, back they go, and I get them replaced, and lo and behold the replacements were also very tight. I mean we tried to lube them and work them and finally gave up thinking that I don't need to customize my tools. If they don't work out of the box, then I'm just taking them back. This is about the second or third time I've had trouble with the quality of Klein tools. Now in the interest of being fair, I have a lot of Klein tools that were bought in the last several years and they are mostly fine, high quality tools. I just really like their pliers better than any other, but I've had so much trouble with them freezing up on me, that I'm thinking of searching for other brands. Kind of bums me out, as I'm not a Knippex fan at all, so it looks like now I'll have to go and break open the package to see if they're made correctly or not. What a shame for a great brand.
I've read of people having trouble with screwdrivers breaking and other complaints, but have yet to have that trouble. Just wondering what other's experience has been.

I like my Klein pliers. I buy white lightning dry chain lube and I use that on all my pliers. It is a wax based lube dissolved in some kind of solvent so you squirt that into the pivot work it around and let it dry and it won't get your hands or the customers furnishings greasy.
As far as screwdrivers I quit buying their screwdrivers because I just don't like them.

Dont take them back, I've always used kline plyers, they are tight, but if you take them and work them back and forth under really hot water they will loosen up, it takes some time doing it, but they will get loose and your helper will love them and never look back, use some kroil oil on them after the hot water, they will get loose

I have a lot of their hand tools. Love all them. If I’m thinking of the tool your referencing, I hate that tool. Crimper at the very end and wire stripper between the handle? Think the grip is red??? Maybe blue????

I have the wire strippers on the end and crimper on the inside and love those. I also have dedicated crimper with red handles. I switched to using those for making crimps these days and quit using my stripper/crimper years ago. Just the ergonomics of each tool made me switch

Sadly we live in a global economy and many companies like Klein don't even make their own tools. They simply buy from 1 factory in China who happily prints their company name on the handles and then Klein sells it for 20x more than they paid for it. Thus you have severe quality control issues...... I saw Klein was selling a square bluetooth speaker a couple years ago for $40 bucks. It worked nice and was water proof, but it was actually made by Acorn in China and rebranded. I like the speaker a lot so I bought the Acorn for just $15 bucks :)
