Hi,

Without mentioning the price, in your opinion, how much have the prices of a SPLIT
heat pump Centrally Ducted increased (without the cost of labor) since
two years (COVID).

Is it 10%, 20%, 30% or 40% ?

Thanks

What does it matter?
Just to know...
But especially to know if we can expect that the price will decrease after the COVID.

For your information, here in Quebec while a COVID, the wood and Plywood has increased by 100%.
and the price of a new house has almost doubled in two years.

The cost of equipment went up a lot but on top of that the cost of fuel, labor, insurance and every other business expense went up.

My service call rates have increased 30% because of inflation, cost of transportation. BUT my insurance rates have actually gone down. I'm not sure why every else's insurnace has increased.........

My cost on copper has tripled, and my cost on metal and fittings has doubled. Thankfully my cost on equipment has only increased by around 10% though.

The Fed has warned for about 3 years now that our record low interest rates would trigger inflation and it appears we're there now. Thankfully some of us heeded their advice and prepared for that. I doing VERY well right now and the future looks bright overall.......

So it's normal that a central heat pump purchased in 2003 with the installation (without the price of the ducts) is 250% more expensive today than in 2022 !
