It looks as if the condesate drains back into the secondary.(the larger hose) Then where does it go ??

Your profile says you are a homeowner and i cant tell anything from the picture.

I'm a new tech,Click the pic to enlarge
Ok. The picture is not clear and it seems really distorted but often the drain hoses all go to the collector box and the condensate trap drains it away from there.
A model number and serial number would be helpful. Also it helps if you're profile lists you as a tech.

Do you have a better picture? From what you sent there isn't much to go by. Is there a drain coming out of the furnace? If not it's installed wrong and from what it looks like, it's installed wrong. Model number?

Like r600a said, all the hoses should lead to a collector box in the furnace and then to an external drain or pump. From my experience, the secondary drain should be leading to the collector. Where does the other drain out of the inducer vent go?

Here's another example . Anyway why does it drain back into secondary and not just drain out ?

That is called the collector and it is where all the condensate is collected and funneled into the trap.

That second picture, the furnace isn’t even installed. No gas, no electrical, no drain. For all you know, that hose needs to be repositioned during installation. Are you just pulling pics off the internet, or are you actually physically at a furnace?

My question is, and its hard to tell with the lighting, why is this furnace drain look weird like this? On the carriers the collector has a hose that runs across the bottom of the cabinet into a plastic drain trap. There's a couple other small vacuum hoses on there that come off the collector and the inducer if my memory serves me correctly. But then it goes down hill and drains out the bottom part of the cabinet (total of 4 holes in the trap, 3 hoses in the top and the 4th is on the bottom and uses a hose to connect to the outside of the furnace).

But on this furnace the trap is positioned higher than the collector box? That aint gonna work.

Post a clear photo and model number.

Neither of those photos are worth a darn for reference.

I think you are mistaken about position or what the trap is, but those photos are not helping.
