Being a former 25 year chiller tech at Trane and now a customer of both Trane and York technical service, I am sometimes "bewildered" myself. That is primarily based on the two companies' ways of doing business.

I worked for JCI for a few years they hire and fire constantly, always loosing accounts horrable managment, always changing stay away unless you like getting laid off

Kept them on my list as a back up plan in case the place I'm at doesn't work out. Think I'll be taking them off the list.

horse **** company. Only thinks about profit and stockholders. with them hvac chiller, & boiler techs are a dime a dozen. They hired me I helped build up their business and they replaced me with someone cheaper. Never again

I worked for JCI for 5 years and I loved it. The only down side is that once you are on the technical side it is very hard to get in the sales/management side. I guess they spend all that money training you which they are very good about they don't want to lose you i the field.

I haven't worked for. JCI, but, we get subcontracted when their techs can't figure it out. At multiple sites. The last site manager I dealt with, was a complete dumbass. The tech cared, but, had NO clue. I am not saying that none of ether techs have clue, just that MY experience with them, I will work an offshore drilling rig first...

Either way, good luck.
