Streamlight stylus pro. I've had one of these bad boys for 3 years doing food equipment service and commercial refridgeration. I've dropped this thing off rooftops onto concrete, in deepfriers and 10 ft of water. I've even left it in a freezer for a week and when I found it it turned on bright as ever with out warming it up. best pocket light ever.

Surefire,Maximus headlamp, you will never regret using this light. It's powerful and light weight(and rechargable) and last plenty long.I also carry a 6PX in back pocket. In the confined areas or the far end of a building or attic,in any weather, they will Not fail you as every other brand will. That's why the military uses them. For the 6PX I buy the batteries by the hundred so I just don't have to think about them. The first time you miss some detail or put your foot in the wrong place and break something you will wish you had these lights.

Love my Fenix PD32 Ultimate edition! I have Surefire fury, Lumax digtal L1, some Streamlight models and a bunch more. I collect flash light for some reason... But current favorite is the Fenix PD32 UE because you have 5 different lumen modes to choose from ( not including the SOS and strobe mode..as if I need those anyway)

The Fenix PD32 UE I've had for about a year and have 2 more of them because I got a good deal.

Trust me on this. Once you switch to 18650 battery powered light, you will never go back. I have used and still own several expensive lights and this is what I use at work.

Convoy S3. Insanely bright, really good runtime with the 18650 batteries, T4-7C LED is warm tint(not blue like cheap LED flashlights), High is about 600-700 lumens(It really is, not the typical overstatement) but does get hot on high, so only use on high for 5 minutes or less. Medium is about 300 lumens and is perfect for most work. Medium will give you 3+ hours of runtime. The output is also regulated meaning it will maintain its high output while the batteries drain. The beam profile is wide and floody which is better for us with the close up work we do.

Here is the battery charger you will need. This one comes with a car charger, If you don't need that too, they have one without the car charger for a couple of bucks less.

The total will be about $58. If you are looking for a great set up, this is a good one without breaking the bank. The whole kit will cost about the same as a Fenix PD32 or EagleTac(less actually) light and perform as well. I have several "high end" lights too (EagleTAC, Fenix, Olight, Nightcore and Jetbeams) and this is what I use at work every day. I used to use Fenix P series lights at work all the way back to the P3D. You don't mind abusing this light because it is only $22.

I have been happy with the mag lite kit. 1 3 d cell and 1 2 aa cell. I get them with the LED. Pricey but very bright and easy on batteries plus made in USA last time I checked anyway.

My coworker has the mag lite 2 aa and he has to put batteries in every 2 days.

I have the rechargeable battery Painful Chafe posted about on my Fenix, only charge it once a week, and I use it on every call. Sometimes I put the diffuser on it and use it for a work light.

I am sold on rechargeable batteries.

I got a streamlight stylus pro today. This little thing is awesome. Runs on two AAA and is as bright as my snap on light that runs on AA. Fits comfortably in my shirt pocket.

I am also sold on the rechargeable batteries as well. I didn't think I would ever like having to deal with recharging them constantly but since I bought four batteries I've never have ever even come close to ever having to use disposable batteries. I get at least 2-3 days per battery and that is with moderate use on high stage of my Fenix PE32UE.

I do wish they would put in a battery level meter on the flashlight like they do with cordless drills.

That little MAG-TAC looks great.

Day-to-day me and my crew use the M21 XM-L2. Picked up the 'deluxe package' at Battery Junction: http://www.batteryjunction.com/olight-m21-x-l2-dlx-opt.html

It's about as long as a cigar holder, three brightness settings--twist the bezel/ head to change--tops out at 750 lumen. It'll blind you if your dumb enough to look into it (I did, couldn't help it). Bezel around the front for box openings like the MAG-TAC, good for errant rat in a crawl space too. Stainless steel belt clip and part on the handle stops it from rolling when you lay it down. Comes with a nylon belt holster with two sleeves for spare batteries, a hard sleeve battery holder (for 2 CR123A), misc. other stuff.

...Pick up a spare battery/sleeve and batteries from the same link--CR 123A rechargeable are a buck $1 a piece there.
