If I get a Bryant VS 2-stage furnace and 2-stage AC, will the Bryant Evolution control "automatically" control an Aprilaire 700A humidifier? By "automatically" I mean based on the outside temperature and indoor RH for both summer and winter.
Umm, no..Again for like time #3 here. I asked the correct issues and they said sure...Now things are different..I even talked to people WAY above anyone on this forum or the reps...Sorry people, they dropped the ball and even Carrier agreed. They want to make it right so do not post BS hereYou ordered it. You ordered what you couldn't use. (get the pic)
You talked to reps. You decided you could use a 2 stage on a single speed blower. You didn't ask the right questions.
Don't blame Carrier.
DILLIGAF...Um, little off here. You deserve what you get from not buying and having installed by a proffesional . Good luck with your minimum SEER very Expensive AIR Cond.
I do not put much faith in their Inifinity Sys..that is what.I just checked back in > I am clueless where this went. I don,t understand why you are unhappy with Carrier . Are we still talking about adding a 700 to a Infinity or evolution system .?If so. What don`t you understand?
And this means what? ZERO...I bought my AC unit since I get great deals on them. After talking with my Rep, I do not put much faith in it. aka get a new REP sinc it does not help the product...Their Infinity system has the best blower control of any manufacturer at this time.
Their Infinity control has better air dianostics then other manufacturers unit boards do.
Their Infinity zoning system currently has no match to it.(some get close though)
No, I again do not put much faith in the mfg/product...pretty clear here.Your just bashing.
The 700a no longer has it's own power source and circuit board like the old 700 did. Aprilaire made that change about four months ago. 700a has no need for the isolation relay. I tried to find the link to the aprilaire website that shows the diagrams but I think I need a password.Just as I stated before . The infinity or evolution furnace comes with a HUM and COM terminal that directly wires to the coil of your field installed relay . Those terminals are energized by the infinty controller no matter what mode you choose to humidifify as discussed in my last response. This is the way the evolution or infinity works. The other response might not be so familiar withe Carrier or Bryant . It is true what he is saying on a standard installation of a power humidifier . Most installations have a seperate humidity controller and the thermostat or ( infinity controller) are irrelevant. But thats not what we are discussing.
I have to disagree with your post, My parents just had a Infinity 58MVC installed and also had the Carrier 700A humidifier installed at the sametime and the humidifier still requires the relay to by pass the humifier circuit bd so the Infinity controller is able to controll the humidifer. I also needed the relay on my furnace as well which was the same furnace but my humidifer was the older version AA 700 and it also needed the relay to by pass the circuit bd so the Infinity controller would control the humidifer. If you guys fins this to the be true I will post pic's if no one seem to want to believe this information. Even though I am not a HVAC tech or installer, I do know this to be true as I watched them install both relays. The 700a no longer has it's own power source and circuit board like the old 700 did. Aprilaire made that change about four months ago. 700a has no need for the isolation relay. I tried to find the link to the aprilaire website that shows the diagrams but I think I need a password.
The 700a still plugs into an electrical outlet but the two low voltage wires that come out of it are wired to a 24v coil relay that makes 120 to the humidifier fan and 24v to the soloniod valve. I found all this out the hard way a couple of months ago.
