Unit ran fine for 7 years until the original compressor grounded out. Compressor and inverter board replaced, ran for two months and grounded out again. System was then pressure/leak tested with no leaks found and piping was also inspected. Installed another compressor and board (tech reused refrigerant), ran for two more months and grounded out AGAIN. Contractor can't say if its electrical or mechanical failure even though a service checker was hooked up for 24 hours.
Meanwhile we have paid each time for labor and now they suggest to put another compressor and board in with a dryer and take oil sample from recent compressor. Of course we have to pay AGAIN to have this work done.
Time to blow money elsewhere with another "daikin dealer" and hope for a better result?
Current contractor claims the compressors are being covered under warranty but I can't imagine why Daikin would trust a company that is now going on a third compressor in six months?
