Is it illegal to carry a set of guages on my truck without a apprentices license or higher, or even working under a licensed tech. just so i have them.
That explains alotHere in florida you dont even need to know how to hook gauges up and you get to call yourself a technican

How old are you anyway, GNG?
.........You're lucky, for my 18th I got my clothes set on the back porch and found the locks changed on the house when I got home.......at least the old man was nice enough to leave the porch light on for me so I could get all my sh@t without fumbling around in the dark.

Buying guages just to "have them" seems like a waste of money sounds like. I frown upon people whom don't know what the guage is telling them, or think the guage tells them what everything the system is doing. Let alone if they have their certification. Understand the cycle, enough said.
Well then, be a part of the solution..........don't just sit and B!tch about the problemI'm all for learning, if I wasn't clear enough on that. I'm saying learn, don't be like the guy in a post that "works on ice machines and commercial refrigeration..." like I read in a post earlier where he asked what "normal pressures are" where and had no clue how to use a T-P chart. Customer will get what they pay for. I'm going to leave it there.
an Australian watering hole? I'm in!A guy's gotta learn sometime.......or do you think it's picked up through osmosis?![]()
I prefer the one down the street.........but Australia - it's all goodan Australian watering hole? I'm in!
yeah, very true. I get a tad upset when professional techs don't have enough work because joe blows company has a guy with a guage and no clue whats going on doing PM work. I'll glady help with the problem, but don't expect me to cheer and agree, that a guy working on ref by himself, without a clue, is okay.
" Iwork on ice machines............other than soft serves, IM's are that hardest for me - not that the rest of this stuff is easy "
IM's???
I'll play nice![]()
