I have a Carrier screw M# 30HXA186RZE641AA which started having some motor cooling issues, wandering if any of you guys have ran into the same problem.
Circuit A started locking out on T137, low discharge superheat. After looking into the problem, I quickly realized it was due to the motor over cooling and dropping the discharge gas temp. Motor cooling setpoint @ 200 deg (factory setting) Machine has no problems at part load. If you load the compressor 100% it begins to cycle the motor cooling solenoid while the motor temp is only around 115 deg and will continue to cycle until DSH drops enough to lock out. My first thought was induced voltage on the solenoid wire. Solenoid only 24V, wire runs through the 480V panel. I am in fact getting voltage to the solenoid, tried cutting the solenoid wire where it exits the CCP1 board to determine which way the 24V was comming from, but ended up having 24V from the board when no load was on it. (solenoid wire disconnected, maybe a triac??) When solenoid wire is connected I have 0 volts until solenoid is energized. I also removed the board and cleaned up ground connections. Software ver# is 2902Q01805. Machine is running slightly low on charge, but as far as I know that won't contribute to this problem. Anyone else run into similar issues???
