ever had a strange/weird train of thought?

this week was thinking on languages for some reason. Latin is a dead language, so they use it for medical terms, etc.

apparently that isn't good enough for some. Years ago someone came up with the idea that scientists should have a universal synthetic language, (esperazo? I think) which would be used for scientific papers.

Well now, hollywood, sci fi geeks also have number of synthetic languages....

so now I'm thinking it would be cool to have someone at a science convention present their thesis in Klingon.

that's my weird thought for the week.

I guess Latin may be technically a dead language although it is used in science and law. Theology is rooted in latin even for protestants as in sola fide. It is a root language of many european languages. English is a mixture of german and latin also so it may never be truly dead. It was required for my son to learn as an archeologist.
I wonder if you were referring to esperanto. I believe esperanto was meant to be an easy language to learn for political reasons. A neutral language to foster peace and understanding.
