I'm trying to pull out the burner manifold and clean it, the screen below, and check the thermocouple tip condition. But I cannot get the 4 screws that secure the manifold assembly in place to back out. Used magnetic screwdrivers, sockets, and vice grips. The screws just spin in place and do not move. Any ideas?

Whatever you need to do to get a screwdriver behind a corner of the plate while you have your screw gun running. Bend or cut away the outer layer of the unit if necessary to get the angle you need.
