Any on you guys work out to stay in shape?
Diet was the hardest part, I would start my diet 16 week out from a show...it was a killer!bodybuillders are friggin insane man. I actually did try it a few times but for me, quality of life just plain sucked! Life without beer...no way man. Not this Irish meathead.
Course I guess a bodybuilder's too busy getting laid constantly to be out drinking.
Very nice! I did the home gym thing for awhile (not as nice as yours), but with my weird schedule it works better for me to go to a gym near my office. This is my home gym, I have collected stuff over the last 10 years. Still takes a lot to get up at 5AM each morning to train. I love it!
I have fallen apart over the last few years. I was always in shape, very fit. I wrestled in high school, grew up baling hey on farms for extra cash. I joined the Army and in the Army your always running. I was in extreme great shape for about two years. Back then you could drink a case of beer, smoke a carton of cigarettes in 1 weekend partying and look perfect. And you could never really do all the time that cause you never could last during PT if you did.
I am 35 now and 30 LBS later. I had fits and starts over the last few years, but nothing I could muster to stay with it. I started to feel like real $hit i'd say over the last 2 years. Eating like a pig and drinking beer and just not doing anything after work. And you know, you alwyas figure, well I get back with it. And you say that to reckon for then that your not doing right by yourself.
I have finally have had enough. I am tired of being tired, and tired of worrying about how I look to myself.
I just in the last few weeks begun to do a half hour each night on the treadmill at my target heart rate. I felt sore and groggy and lazy the first week. I even skipped a few days because of being lazy. But this is my third week and I am now up to doing a half hour a day. I am beginning to feel better. Just an over all feeling of better. Not so lethargic like.

naw nice home gym dude. I'd kill not to have some dude steal my equipment, at the same time some other dude stares at me for the second hour straight, while the latest pop song blares on the radio and some skinny weiner in under armor with "trainer" on the back asks me not to use chalk.....whew...
I'll stop right there. The gym crowd really sucks until it thins out mid Feb.
any show pics?
It sure doesn't stop guys in that range of obesity from trying. "God Blessem" I'm not in the best shape, but I'm working on getting down in my weight by running. One thing for sure doing this kind of work will sure show you what kind of shape your in. That damn extension ladder starts getting heavier and heavier. Heck... I'm just 28 going on 29. Friends are always like: "your job must be a good work out" My reply is that it's not the good kind of work outI do, I can't even imagine being in the 45% Obese range. Pretty hard to be like that and do this trade.
Lets not forget the woman that wears so much perfume that you can taste it. Or the fat person that sweats like a pig in an oven and never wipes down their equipmentI'd kill not to have some dude steal my equipment, at the same time some other dude stares at me for the second hour straight, while the latest pop song blares on the radio and some skinny weiner in under armor with "trainer" on the back asks me not to use chalk.....whew...
