furnace installed by what seems a DIY. Before calling a professional I really need to understand few things so i'm not shafted by him cuz He might need to redo alot of the installation over. its 125k btu Dayton, about 3 years old.
current operation behavior:
On for about 2 minutes
Off for about 1 minute and 20 seconds
.....this happens 5 times and times out the furnace while it continues to give the 4 diagnostic flashes.
in between the cycles I get 4 red flashes, while furnace is operating its a slower yellow/orange flash until its time to cut off when it starts again the 4 red flashes, then flips to green and furnace works again.
I believe the limit switch is doing all this but why does it time out after the 5th cycle?
what are the temperatures at which the limit switch cuts out the circuit?
also the only way the furnace will come back on is after 1 hour or so, unless I manually reset it by flipping the main power switch. the plenum seems to be getting really hot causing limit switch to trip?
some input would be appreciated.
