Tell me if I'm right?
I have a leak on the bottom right processing tube or point where equalization line would tie in on a 10 ton compressor.

Tell me I have to pull compressor, put it on it's side and braze leak to repair it???

If stub is long enough , pinch off , then braze , then braze your pinch.

Probly wanna remove pressure from compressor first.

Oh ya! leakstop , along with a good dye , and a whole bottle of supco oil , you know added insurance.

The oil equalizer? If so....my best success has been removing the charge and then dropping the oil level a bit. Then clean it up and hit it with 56% flux coated braze fast.

I only have the one compressor. The fitting I'm refering to is below the oil level on the right side of the compressor.

The fitting is normally used if two compressors are put in parallel!!
You would have an oilequalization line connected here to the othe compressor.

As ASCJ states, I would have to lower level of oil and I know the charge would have to be out. I have seen these leaks on allot of Tranes??

ASCJ, Oil would only be able to drop below oil port which is above the lower equalization port? Has this work for you with oil behind port?

The oil level should not be above this line. All you have to do is the lean it a bit with a piece of wood. Braze away.

remove the charge after the most of the oil is removed..below gas...wire wheel the fitting 360 around star a slight vac on the system..zero it out as your torching small turbo tip watch the heat...hit quick with a clean rod totally around do mirror check continue the vac oil back in and do your thing:cheers:...monday would be good double time and half:whistle:.Mr.M so hows the 8AM to 5PM with an hour lunch doin with your shop...is 638B having any complaints
