I think you could pick out some plots for Modbus and BACnet too, but I'm preferring cremation. But, start thinking to add those to the list of unnecessary things.
Brings me back to questioning a Carrier article in about 1996 talking about the Internet and controls. They didn't have a clue of the mechanism, but I can see some options now so they weren't too far off.

and only 22yrs to get the first few options...

What's your point, another decade and maybe it gets some traction?

Then you already know it's all over. Let me know if you think you can hold back the internet. I'm going to guess... no chance.

Anyway, we will have working and running hardware like we always do and some of those things are actually doing what the others are simply talking about. Especially Ken and the groups like IBcon/Realcomm and ASHRAE so we are in agreement there.

I'll listen to what they have to say. Sometimes there's points made that can be applied elsewhere or are thought provoking which is useful, just not in the manner intended at the time.

I've also got a large list of booths to visit.

I've already gotten two solid leads on things I've been asked to look for being shown here so it seems like it's worth a poke around at a minimum.

Best part of the show IMO. Plan on hitting mainly booths and vendors as I have in the past. See whats new, finding new stuff never seen, talk to vendors and see whats moving. Not just controls vendors, but all the support device guys. Last several years there have been all far flung vendors out there. Assuming your looking at some volume you can probably find someone to supply anything there. Will be the first time I sit in any of the shows presentations. Can't normally hit all the booths I want in just a single day. More crap than time as always @ AHR.
