Finally pulling the trigger and going to start my own TAB company. Been trying to come up with something professional sounding but not having any luck. Anyone here have or seen any TAB company names that stood out to them? Not looking to steal a name, but possibly get some ideas.

I always liked Precision Air Balance, but, balancing is not precise , really, but certainly an art when professionally done.

Artistic Air.....nah....maybe

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Some may be better than other...ahem....autistic air. This is probably one of the biggest decisions I will make when it comes to the company and one I will be living with for the next 30 years if it works out.

The best thing I can suggest is use a lot of key words in your company name that way when a potential client does a Google search your name will get priority. Many people with an outage will type "furnace repair" in their google search. That's why I included furnace repair in my company name.

I specialize in tit services.
This made me remember my high school prom 20 years ago. A girl was wearing a dress that was way to tight for her and as everyone was walking into the dance her breasts literally fell out of her dress. I felt kinda guilty because for a minute because I thought just maybe I might have made that happen with my mind :)

Being Canadian this won't work for you but it's still a good name. U S Air. Kinda patriotic.
Your right in having concerns over a name. Many company names don't work or are easy to forget. A contractor I knew that had a ton of name recognition started a business. He used his wife's first initial and his. The name sounded like a hundred others. I asked as his name was known all over why he didn't use his last name? Well he said, She wanted to be a part of the company.
My only thoughts were THIS IS BUSINESS. Decisions need to be made on a business level and not just to please the wife.
From my view, a name should be descriptive of the work you do. Andrews Book Seller.
Shouldn't be complicated and leave questions as to what your company does. Like Mechanical Logistics. Say What?? Who ya gonna call?
As you intend to do air balance the name doesn't need to relate to the general public. For most people, they don't know why someone would balance air. So a good name for those people your business wants to communicate with can be more industry specific. Like Precision Air or something like that. The public might not know even what that name implies. Like is some air more precise than others. Heh But the intent is to communicate to the industry.
I think a name is a very important decision.

Thanks very much for the reply and I completely agree with your thoughts. The name has to be something memorable at the same time. There seem to be so many one man shows out there, that it's hard to keep track. The current company I am with has a great name and we are the first to be thought of when a mech contractor needs balancing done. Looking for a name like that which stands out to my clients. I do like the idea of precision air. Will have to do a search to make sure no other contractors with that name. But something similar to that would be a great option as well.

I don't know about Canada aside from beer heh but are you required to be NEBB, ACCA, orTABB certified? Here it's stated on the prints that the T&B is to be a certified test by one of those agency and a copy included with the report.
Here, not certified can jam you up by the engineer/architect not accepting your report.
I've known an instance that because the report wasn't NEBB. It was questioned as to it's accuracy. The problem was an oversight where the plan header requiring NEBB was used for years and the question of the other agencies had never come up.

I don't know what your company includes in a report but do know the fatter the better.
