We had two York Affinity Heat Pumps installed when we built our house about a year ago. The main unit is a 15 SEER YZE04811A with N1VSD2006G variable speed air handler. The upstairs unit is a 13SSER YZB0241A with an upgraded N1VSB106XG variable speed air handler. Both are controlled by Honeywell Vision Pro 8000 series thermostats.
I am very pleased with both. The main unit is practicall inaudible for cooling and ramps up and down for heating. The upstairs unit seems to run at one speed only. I checked and the correct air handling unit is installed. I think there must be jumpers or programming not done properly.
I have made several calls with no action from the installing company's owner. They did a nice installation job and have twice repaired the fan control board in the main unit. The owner seems totally uninterested in addressing the non-variable speed issue however.
Is my assumption correct? I think I need to approach him from a position of knowledge, and I'm hoping you all might help.
Thanks
