I just walked out on my back porch and it sounds like freakin' WW3 outside. Somebody in the next neighborhood over is firing what has to be a 45-70 or 300mag. Dam, I hope they're shooting at the ground.

I went out to the back 40 a while ago and fired off a few rounds from my .454 Casull, sure wished I would have had enough snap to wear my ear protection my dang ears are still ringing, this is just a picture of one below but looks exactly like mine. My brother left it to me when he passed away in 2001 I haven't shot it much because it scares the heck out of me to shot it, it's loud! and yes I shot it into the ground.

Trust me it don't literally scare me enough to worry that much and I do feel comfortable, what I meant the noise scares me it's so dang loud and I have owned a 44 mag for 20 years this is louder, I have shot it a few times at the range so no it don't scare me in the way I think you meant. :D
Heck I use to fire a 50 caliber in the marines in the late 60's.
And also I was an HPD officer back in 1975 for two years so no I have had my share of firing pistols so don't be to concerned for me.

I wasn't concerned for you, I was concerned for the people that may have been around your scaredy cat ass...:p :D
Hey, that's why I went out to the back 40 it was only me and the wild animals
out there, they probably ran to when they saw dirty Harry arrive. :D

you guys should be thankful you still live in towns with some freedom.

when i first moved here , there were three fireworks stores, and people were traveling here from miles around to celebrate new years and the 4th.

the Marxists (AKA liberals) passed some laws that no one heard about and everything ended over night, last 4th your could hear a pin drop.

...i'm just waiting for the check points to start
