What do you give your wife as a weekly allowance. This is money she would use for mcdonalds or doing something for herself on a weekly basis? She doesnt have to account for it, just spend it. How much is reasonable? It should the same every week I think. ( she doesnt hold a paying job)

No I'm not stingy at all. She can spend all she wants out of a healthy checking account and i wont say a word. But she doesnt want to do it that way. She is frugle too much so. I am the one who gets the allowance !! My wife gives me $20 a day. She does not work but does a job that I never want to do.......... stay home with a 10 and 7 year old !!!! Besides , I am horrible with money , it always seems to burn a hole in my pocket not matter how much !!!

Hell I have no idea what your saying. First you say she can have all she wants, then its dam she wants part of the extra I make here and there. Think she is frugil being your making it that way. Thats your choice .....but it is what it is. Dont try to make it something its not. What do you pay her for doing all your laundry , cleaning , cooking ,shopping and everything that goes with it. Does that count for anything in your mind or is it a case of doling out what little you can? Gotta hear this one.
Someone saying they are not stingy is like a politition saying he is honest so trust me. Just look at what you said.......am I right? you may not admit it to us but just think about it

I have never thought of it as an allowance but I would say that she spends about 50 bucks a week on herself.Still don't know what she does with it I think its fair enough, I go through the winter without spending hardly any money on myself, in fact I don't even carry any money on me all winter, but I make up for it in green fees during the rest of the year, I spend about a hundred a week on golfing for about 9 months out of the year.

Here in my job I might spend 30, 40 50 grand in any given day. I am at a point in my life were I have enough money to buy anything I want. Of course with the 4 kids my wife and I raised and put through college, it wasn't always that way. So she hands me $130. "allowance" each week as kind of a tradition. If I want something I just put it on my personal credit card. The credit card bill gets paid by someone every month so that there is no interest.tinner73 said:

My wife gives me an allowance. She takes care of all the bills and banking. When I need some cash I ask for it.
She has Paychecks make out my check, she signs it, put's it in front of me to endorse, never lifting her hand from it so I can't turn it over and see how much money I actually make!
Is $25.00 a week a big enough allowance guys?
