I have tried Fieldpiece, Cooper, UEI, and a few others and had not had real good luck with longevity. I have a Cooper MFM300 for accurate testing but looking for doing quick tests without having to drag out the box.
What are you using for digital pocket thermometers.

I use the pdt650 uei pocket thermometers. Bought two on special at John stone about two weeks ago.
I tend to go through these thermometers like crazy, I always forget and leave them stuck in plenums and stuff.
I don't lose many but I sure break my share. I had 2 Fieldpiece folding ones and neither made it through the first battery, the display died. The Coopers I had, had the swivel heads and I can't keep the display from separating from the head. I don't know I cant seem to find the ones like I used when they first came out, I would go through several sets of batteries before I killed them. Can't seem to do that anymore.
The Flash Check 11061 is accurate, fast, and VERY durable. waterproof and such. But nothing fancy like magnets. Currently using UEI PDT650, the magnet and swivel probe are nice.
I picked up a cooper atkins dpp400w. It is water proof, has a reduced tip that fits in geo water ports, and has a lifetime warrenty. I believe I paid $30 w/shipping and is 1000% better than the hvac models at the supply house.
