Mini split model obsolescence of less than 10 year-old units and no parts availability.

Taiwanluthiers, I wish it was at least that bad.
I have trouble even get an evaporator coil. And yes, circuit boards too.
Almost had to replace a whole 3 zone multi installed in 2016 because outdoor boards failed and new outdoor unit isn't backwards compatible with existing indoor units. Local suppliers don't carry that board anymore and somehow, luckily, I found them online when I was about to finally give up searching. This was a Midea-made product sold through Carrier. Parts can and do fail but you would expect Carrier to be better and stock these things properly... It's not an isolated incident and they have no excuse. Especially being less than 10 years old.
