Hi every one!
Sorry for my english, I am from Asia, so my english is not good but I hope you will understand. I am just an operator in a building with WebCtrl installed in Operator's room. I always logined without any problem to WebCtrl but yesterday when I tried to login pop up the text "Login or password failure". I dont why. I didnt change password or login. Is there any way to reset or find out password and login. Because, I cannot control the temperature or other staff. Please, can somebody help me.

If you lose connection to the database server (MySQL, MSSQL, Postgre etc) that WebCTRL is using that will result in the same thing because it can't check your login credentials. Shut the WebCTRL system service down and see if you can open the system in SiteBuilder.

Also the login name is a drop down list in SiteBuilder and that removes half of the things you can get wrong with the username/password question on the web page.

Thank you for your answers.
Can ALC reset password or login to default "administrator" user if I send them request for it with WebCtrl's serial number or with something they need. if they can reset it whether I need an internet connection to reset password?

The thing is we dont have any ALC dealer in our city. Actually we had AlC dealer but they quit the city because of some money issue with some company. i want to know if i can write directly to automatedlogic.com/contact-us to solve this problem.
Thanks

Have you restarted the service?
Can you log into SiteBuilder?
How old is the install?
If all else fails it must be sent to alc. No default passwords or backdoors exist.

More than likely who ever set up the server set the administrator passwords without knowing that you are SOL.

If you don't have any idea who sold it to you you could look up who your dealer is here;
http://www.automatedlogic.com/locations/

If they don't help than call the north America corporate headquarters listed on that site.

Even if all the passwords are unknown they can unlock it but there is generally 20 questions that have to be answered with some proof of who you are. They do what they can to protect against social engineering hacks.
