I'm looking for a reliable installer to furnish and install a Carlin G3B gas conversion burner in my oil fired boiler. The location is Framingham, MA. The local HVAC contractors I've contacted don't seem to be interested. I'm guessing that the job may not be big enough for them to bother with.

I have a Burnham 164MBH boiler, number RS-113, which is about 22 years old. The gas line terminates just outside the concrete foundation. All installation work is in an unfinished basement. Once inside, the gas line is a nearly straight run of about 35 feet along a bare concrete wall.

Can anyone refer me to a reliable installer who might be interested in doing this work for me? Any advice will be appreciated.

ESOB, most guys might not be interested in the install because Burnham doesn't warranty a conversion burner for that boiler.

Thats not to say it wouldn't work but it voids it's ul listing.
Hi mlstark,

Thanks for the reply. A Burnham warranty shouldn't matter much to me, should it? The boiler is pretty old and must be out of warranty by now. I only figured on a warranty from Carlin on the burner itself.

I have a couple of other questions: Am I correct in assuming that this is a reasonably simple changeover? Do you know of anybody in the general area that you could refer me to?

Thanks again for the reply.
