I don't think too much of it

507 and 10 lbs is about -30.

Is the suction line temp say: -10? -20?

Is the condenser air very cold? If not the head pressure should be more in the 220-240 lb. range.

Any chance you could check the rest of the operating conditions?

Ok my freezer is doing bout 0-5 degrees F.. 10 psi suction and like a 175 head what do you guys think bout this?

Ok situation not so good at all, ice forming like crazy.. I don't think its going into defrost much going to have to check my timer.. Had to throw some more gas in it, will need to find the leak asap.. 2 lb back and like a 160 head today..With about a 60 degree ambient.. Suction line temp was like 15 degrees but they don't have a clamp on so I don't trust it.. Box temp was 0 when I left

Did you really tell me anything?

I'm going to ask a few questions that could well be perceived as me being a jerk, but I am not.

Why are you not completing diagnostics on this piece of equipment? Added gas but didn't find a leak. Ice forming, but didn't check timer or heaters.

WTF? Do you really wonder why you can't figure out what is wrong with it?

You aren't taking the time needed to complete a logical diagnosis on the unit. If you don't that the time to do so, you will ALWAYS be chasing your tail.

Good luck.

We just hope

This has disaster written all over it.

What we need is: superheat, subcool, box temp at time of readings, ambient temp, amp draws and any other pertinent information. We also need this put into a format consistent with the modern rules of English language. If, and only if you do this are we able to help you. We cant see what you are doing. We can not log into the walk-in controller and look at the readings. We need your help to help you...

Check everything -

Write this down -

You cannot check everything and not find the problems.

Check and write down:

High and low side pressures
Suction temperature
Liquid temperature
Air temps into and out of evap coil
Air temps into and out of cond coil
I like to take discharge temperature too

So a good rule is always check super heat sub cooling ambient temp? Whats an AMP draw is that checking the amps on the compressor?

freezer

your suction pressure is to low, check subcooling, you are low on refrigerant.should run 26psi for -10f . coil air temp would be 0f .once subsooling is found for r507 check superheat. Also look for leak before wasting more gas.

lol ^
we all get in a hurry, and it's often half the customer's fault for rushing us, and the other half is our fault for letting them.
