Hello,

My furnace died today (ThermoPride CHB1-75N) and the flashing on the control board indicate bad ignitor (or ground issue). I removed ignitor and tested with multimeter and it is bad and needs to be replaced. I called every parts supplier in town and no one carries the ignitor for this system (768A-143 is the ignitor I removed, and I assume it is original. Thermopride part number is 380650 per manual). One place sold me a universal replacement, HotRod 21D64-2, and told me it should work with my system. However, it looks like my ignitor is 80V, and the universal replacement is listed as a 120V replacement. Whats interesting is when I test the voltage intended for the ignitor, it reads 120V on start up. I read in some other posts that my board (White Rodgers IntellIgnition) uses variable/step down voltage, so maybe that's why it reads 120V on start up. (seems like user slctech seems to know a lot about this system in other threads so hoping he pops in here haha)

Anyway, question is, can I use the 120V ignitor in my system? Soonest I can get the proper ignitor is in a few days, and its getting pretty cold out haha.

Thanks
