We use Tracer TU Pro Controls and I spoke to a Trane Rep today. Current protocol from Trane is, once your license expires they will not renew it. Licensed Contractors may still purchase but other users will no longer have access to it. I have been asking for renewal fee rates for months and now 4 months away from expiration they drop the bomb. We have over 600 FCU we use this for. I work at a University with our own controls team and this decision by Trane will have a negative impact on our ability to manage equipment.

Let Trane know that you will not using their controls on any future projects and will be exploring the options for phasing out exsisting controls. Sometimes your salesman can get things changed in your favor.

I love removing Trane Tracer systems and throwing them in the E-waste pile.
