I have 2 Trane 125 ton Intellipack rooftop units that are gas fired and provide AC as well. Units are independently wired with 3 phase 480 volts and have ground fault protection on the line side. Inside these units are 3 TR1 Series VF drives and one of them (supply) are intermittently going into a ground fault and shutting down completely (error code 14). The units have never had the issue at the same time.
An electrician has megged out the motors and the wires while they were running and found no issue. Trane techs have put over 30 hours into this problem and can't provide me with a solution. Does anyone have suggestions to what I should do? Is there a know issue with these VF drives? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
