Got a trane air handler unit tam4a looking to speed up the fan, the fan has 3 connections on it right now the red wire is plugged into the number 2 location. Do I just shut power off and mover the red wire to the 3rd location and get the new speed higher hopefully.

I dont have a service provider this is in my house I just wanted to know if that's how to select the fan speed. The system was put in by the brother of the lady we bought the house from and thr system isn't balanced by no means and I like to get more air up further

Blower speeds should be set for the needed air flow for the heat pump. Changing blower speeds to overcome a distribution imbalance can lead to poor equipment performance and even damage.
People often ask for blower speed changes because of noise. That’s not the way to set speeds either.
Poor distribution should be remedied with duct improvements.

Solving it will require dealing with the problem, not fiddling with the equipment. Complicated problems have complicated solutions.
What may be needed is a separate system for the upper level(s).

Well there's the issuse I cannot gain access to the duct work on 3 levels to add dampers to the duct work and I don't really get a whole lot of air from any duct. So there is when I got the idea on speeding the fan up to the next level
