One of the supply houses in town had a bunch sitting out and I was eyeballing them. The smaller one looked pretty nice. Think it was the MC. Didn't pull the trigger just yet but I sure looked for a long time.
I've lost count of the number of "tool totes" bought and discarded. For me, it was most always due to not enough places to store small items.

I bought one of the Veto's early on, which I didn't like, because of the lack of small/short item storage capability.

Seems a lot of totes are designed for carpenters or millwrights...fine for hammers, saws and 15" adjustable wrenches, but a snubby 5/16 nutdriver or nutdriver bits for the drill/driver or the little 1/4 X 5/16 ratchet wrench or whatever...get lost.

But, I was in a wholesale house year or so ago, and saw the Veto Tech LC model (previously mentioned). I started looking at it, and thought, "Now, that's promising." Not as big as some of the other Vetos' and lots of pouches for little stuff, like drill/driver bits and snubbies.

I must have gone back to the same wholesale house 3 or 4 more times for parts and another look, before finally taking one home. And I'm still reasonably satisfied with the tote. It's not the perfect bag, but the best I've had for my preferences.

The link gives several different views of the design features

I feel like a woman on this, I'll never be satisfied..... but it like I always find something I don't like.

My problem (one of 'em) is always ending up putting more stuff in the bag than it will adequately accommodate. As you say, "satisfaction" with tool totes is more or less, a utopian dream.:grin2:
