Too few customers for a repairman is no fun. Neither are too many. Being on the sick list beacause of kidney stones sharply reduced the amount of repair work I could do for a couple of weeks, helping to create a big backlog. Surgery has mostly solved the kidney stone problem, but dealing with the backlog and peak levels of demand for service is no fun.
I've been getting so many calls that I can't answer my cell phone as I prefer to do---- the frequent calls would drive me nuts. So I have to let calls go to voicemail, and try to deal with 15 voicemails or more in the evening when I'm scheduling work. Of course, when I'm returning people's calls I'm mostly getting THEIR voicemail, which makes it difficult to schedule work.
What a pain.
