At a job yesterday to quote new equipment, found a ll filter dryer at the air handler, another outside at the line set near service valve and a third inside by the reversing valve, hopefully the homeowner will give us a shot instead of the guys he has used for years that replaced the compressor and left all those in it. Also someone moved the sensing bulb from the suction line, and electric taped it to the liquid line.

I took pictures of the outdoor unit, now I can't find them in my phone. There's also several federal pacific/stabloc panels around the house that no one has ever warned them about. Some people.

OMG! This **** was staged right??>:grin2: Wow
Not staged, exactly as I found it, almost, I moved the foam/tar tape that was covering the clamps from where the TXV used to be. I'll go back out there tomorrow and get new outdoor pics, with the other two f/d

sometimes if a txv is closing down too much and it will open when warmer I will leave it in ambient air to possibly get more cooling until we can replace it.

Wow, thats a whole lot of fail
