Hi all,
So my new installation has completed and now I have this large Flex duct in my 2nd floor bathroom tub (on the right hand wall) that runs from the attic onto the right hand side wall punched right into the wall 3/4 of the way down and onto the vaulted ceiling family room.
This is of course done on purpose because it is the only option we have to get air to the vaulted ceiling family room which is attached to the house. The only way was via the 2nd floor hall bath near the right hand wall of the tub area.
Althought, I not too happy that they use Flex instead of sheet metal for the trunk, They told me they could not use the metal trunk. However, I was glad they were able to feed air to that room thus eliminating a second unit or ductless unit.
Now my concern is, I'm planning to sheet rock the sheetrock in the area where the flex duct is, would there be any problems or concerns with sheet rocking in the flex duct?
Thanks.
