Have not searched these forums for my answer and I am just trying to get a quick response. Just had a seer 10 unit installed in southern California and my understanding is that this is illegal.
The company that did the work is not giving us any paper work and the home warranty company that approved this install is not giving us any paper work either. I do not have a make/model. We found out after calling the insurance company asking for a receipt for the work that was done and the agent told us that a seer 10 unit was installed and then its become very hard to get them to give us anything in writing. What took the company over a week to do now took 24 hours. They have found a seer 13 unit and its ready to be installed just like that. Anyways, any help/advice with this matter will be much appreciated.
